  1. Well done, more balanced than I expected it to be. A surprisingly in-depth look (for such a short book) at various market factors that capitalism affects and is affected by. I didn’t expect to find any justifications for ANY government intervention in the market, but Friedman spells out many situations that he feels it would be justified, how it would affect the situation and what the alternatives would be.   2. Classic, must-read for anyone who cares about economics or liberty This is a fairly dense book. In the sense that if you don’t know some of the basic key economic concepts and philosophers that Friedman references, then you will be totally lost and have to re-read full chapters to get the ideas. It took me a month to work through this book, basically having to re-read whole chapters because some of the explanations that Friedman uses get confusing as be jumps around.
